My oh my, where does the time go? Mr. Gadget and I had a nice visit to the Calcondo, and a relaxing Mexican cruise, and now we're back at the Concondo trying to get rid of the colds we brought home with us.
It's always nice to be back in the Treehouse--my little haven of solitude....when I lock the door so Mr. Gadget can't come in to snoop around. "Whatcha doin'?" he's fond of saying.
I've started a new project--an iPad cover in the crazy quilt style. I've sewn strips together and am now embellishing with embroidery. I have no idea how I'll put the bag together but I'm planning it while I stitch. If it comes out nicely I'll make a phone cover and a camera cover. And if I'm really on a roll I'll make a toaster cover and a coffeepot cover, and a food processor cover and a car cover. Just kidding. I'm not that ambitious, although I'm sure I have enough fabric to do all of those covers, plus one for Mr. Gadget's car too.
I've started some needle-felting projects with the end-of-the-year craft shows in mind. All of my needle-felted projects sold last year so it's pretty much of a no-brainer about what to do this year. I do enjoy the process, but I like to mix things up a bit with a little sewing and clay stuff. And just when I'm starting to give thought to retiring from all this crafty business, the old hotel has decided to do a spring show. I might need an assistant....or a few elves.
